*Salvaged Title Car was totaled in 2003. I was driving and rear ended my brother in a Tahoe on 205. Here is what was repaired (and all that needed to be repaired):
- AC
- Radiator and fan
- Hood
- Dent in passenger fender
- Pained at Miracle in Modesto in 2005
I made the mistake of taking to one of the most expensive auto body shops in Modesto for the insurance estimate. Total costs to fix before paint were $800.
ABS Break leak. There is a ABS break leak which runs the ABS compressor to equalize pressure. The cost to fix this is over $800 due to it being a first generation ABS system. There are two options here. 1 is to refill the fluid every few days or weeks to maintain the ABS system (compressor runs most of that time) Option 2 (what i do) is to not refill the fluid, and drive without the ABS breaks. It doesn't pull fluid from the master cylinder and I have been running the car this was for over a year.
