I'm so pleased to announce that our walk date and location are set and the website is up and running!

Over a year in the making this is finally a reality for all of us that live in the Central Valley area. People are coming from all over: Lodi, Madera, Sonora. It's not just families effected by autism that are walking - it's teachers, friends, concerned members of our community. As many of you know the walk also has a resource fair going on with vendors who serve people on the autism spectrum. You don't have to raise money to attend the walk but of course every dollar raised goes toward crucial research and awareness.
Remember this is a very family friendly day so bring the kids!

How do I sign up to be a walker?
Go to www.walknowforautism.org then click on "Central Valley". You'll see a "Register" tab where you can sign up as an individual walker or to "Start a Team". A team is 2 people or more.
If you know someone who would like to register for the walk but prefers not to use the computer they can call the Autism Speaks Northern CA office at (707) 778-3840 to leave a message then someone will call them back to register them over the phone.
Sign up early (today!) so we can track the expected attendance and if you start early it's easier to reach your fundraising goal. Also, keep in mind if you have a team name you'd like to use it may get taken by someone else if you wait too long.
