Hi, my name is Alex Bent.
I am fifteen, but don't be discouraged by my age because I'm very serious when it comes to music. My future plans are to attend Berklee School of Music in Boston, MA. I have been playing only three years going on four. I play multiple styles of music, including jazz, funk, blues, death metal, latin salsa, gospel, and more. I am in the Enochs High School jazz band and concert band. I've also played in the school's marching band. On the side I play jazz, soul and funk with my dad, James Bent, I'm in a deathmetal/hardcore band called The Scourge of Medusa, and play fatete and tuete in a Tahitian group from Tracy that does international performances, E Honu Iti E. In my own honest opinion, I would rank my jazz drumming as a 7. After only 18 months of playing, being 11 years old, I won Guitar Center's first couple drum-off rounds against all ages.
As for pay, that is to be discussed. For gigs, I would just need to know a couple of days in advance, but I am usually open and always committed to everything I do.
