We're A LOVER'S PLEA. We are a four piece band from Stockton, California who have been together since the ending of January but have already made an establishment for themselves in the area.

Right now, we are on a current break for a month or so to all earn enough funds to actually tour in the so-cal area for a week straight and are looking for a bass player.

Our main influences are Paramore, Saosin, Anberlin, Acceptance, Jimmy Eat World, Mayday Parade, National Product with a little bit of R&B edge.

We're looking for someone with the following requirements:

- a steady job to help with band funds
- be able to practice 3 to 4 times a week
- have a car and be able to travel
- have their own gear

I like the sentiment of your message and I wish it will come to pass. I've been in music a while and I've lived in the valley just as long, and it seems that nothing has changed - as a matter of fact it has become worse. The problem starts with bands having disrespect for each other and a childish competitive sense; not all, but quite a few. And the older musicians are the worst!

So, until everyone has respect and an honest appreciation of each other, it's just wishful thinking ... maybe when there's peace in the Middle East. You get my drift.

Hey King George V, I thought the goal was to get some good originals out there. Listen King electedLeader, things happen for the best and incidentally your playing lead throughout the entire original song is never the best, a little rhythm maybe to add weight to the sound? One more thing...you should hear the band I just formed...in the pocket can do anything drummer and I'm looking for a Keyboard player to do the lead part, like "Whiter Shade of Pale" by Procol Harum.

We all get to reheasal on time, including me because I'm motivated and the band members, without voting, have defaulted me to be the leader of the band...must be because I'm the songwriter and they love my material...nothing like respect for the songwriter...first practice and we were on...with the drummer ending the song on my signal! And we gel!

Darn, we're having a hard time finding someone to do tambourine, percussion sticks, cowbell, triangle, gourd, hand-clapping....no takers...maybe as a favor a "friend" can put away his rhythm guitar and take over that "gee I always wanted to be in a band to do that" chore.

You know, Livermore is always looking for a good cover band...don't rush it. And those guys over there will take hard rock over reggae on any given Friday night...don't you think? Guitar player and bass player seek drumer to form
a new band and write some music.

Our style is independanty melodic rock and open to ideas.
We are influenced by alot of the melodic effect driven bands of the 80s
and earlier bands such as pink floyd,genesis,the cure,etc but being as we are
not exactly those players our sound is more eclectic.

We are pretty down to earth and easy going guitar player is 31 and bass player is in his mid 30s your age doesnt matter as long as you dont need parental concent lol, we have pryor experience gigging and eventualy would like to get back to it. we have a studio in san jose for practicing in.

what we are looking for is some one who is interested in playing both
originals for one type of atmosephere but is also willing to play covers in local bars in the bay area to help get some exposure spread out there.
