Our Mission is to help people gain understanding, acquire knowledge and develop skills for living in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world.
You cannot imagine how rewarding it is to bring the world into someones home and to see the bond between a host family and a teenager from another part of the world. Students will come from more than 55 different countries. They have studied English for a minimum of 4 years and range from 15-18 years of age. They arrive with a variety of interests and eagerness to participate with and learn from their host families.
As a Host families you will treat them as your own son or daughter, provide a bed and two meals a day, and a quiet space to study as well and love and support. Each student will carry sufficient spending money. Their medical insurance coverage is excellent. Host families do not have to have teenagers to be able to host. Imagine how much education you can expose to your growing children. It is also a perfect opportunity to cure the empty-nest syndrome for those without children at home.
For more information about the program and how you can host one of these students, please contact CIEEs Local Representative at 1-866-444-0336 or email Cene Kurtchi at ckurtchi@ciee.org. Visit our website; www.ciee.org/hostfamily.
