Vintage opa-scope is used to project both opaque and transparent material onto a screen within a darkened environment.
The opa-scope is in a metal casing. The base is rectangular and the main lense and mirrors are mounted in an upper stage which may be flipped open to one side. There are two metal handles on the sides for carrying. Extending from the rear there is a black rubber power cord. This is a great tool for artists to transfer images to walls when painting murals indoors. My grandfather used it to transfer his sketches and smaller images to a larger size for his big canvases.
