This is professionally farmed alfalfa, not some weed patch in someone’s back yard
For those not too familiar with alfalfa hay, the first cutting of the year usually has a little more stem than the next cuttings, as the hay has gone dormant in the winter and then starts regrowing in the spring.
This is good for beef cattle, goats, etc, as the hay will not be “hot”.
Some folks horses will eat it and handle it fine, others may pick around the thicker stems.
Great value here!
My beef cattle love the first cutting hay, and I can direct feed it without worry.
