Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
Position Summary
Pallet Recovery Service is seeking a reliable Onsite Laborer with a primary focus on pallet repair and reconditioning. This role supports daily warehouse operations by repairing damaged pallets, handling materials, and maintaining safe and efficient workflow on the distribution floor. This position follows an alternative work schedule of three 10-hour shifts per week in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, sort, and repair damaged pallets using hand tools and pneumatic nail guns
Replace broken boards and reinforce pallet structures to meet quality standards
Perform quality checks to ensure repaired pallets meet company and customer specifications
Load, unload, and move pallets and materials throughout the facility
Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), including forklifts, if certified
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Assist with inventory counts and basic recordkeeping as needed
Report safety hazards, defective equipment, or operational issues to supervisors
Qualifications
Experience in pallet repair or general labor preferred
Experience in warehouse or distribution environments a plus
Forklift/PIT certification preferred (training may be provided)
Ability to use hand tools and nail guns safely and efficiently
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Reliable, team-oriented, and able to follow instructions
Ability to perform in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive motions
Comfortable working with tools and industrial equipment
Ability to work in varying warehouse conditions
Work Environment
Indoor warehouse setting
Exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures typical of a non-climate-controlled warehouse
Fast-paced, production-driven environment
