Damian's Hosting Hub is seeking an experienced independent handyman contractor to provide maintenance services for our portfolio of short-term rental
properties across the Central Valley (Patterson, Modesto, Turlock, Riverbank, Lathrop, Merced, Los Banos area).
About Us:
We manage 14+ professionally run Airbnb/VRBO properties in the Central Valley. Our listings are top-rated (9.5-10 stars) and we need a reliable
contractor who can help us maintain that standard.
Rate: $35 - $40/hr (based on experience and skill set)
Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
Scope of Work:
- Minor repairs between guest stays (drywall patches, caulking, paint touch-ups, fixture swaps)
- Furniture assembly and rearrangement
- Basic plumbing (running toilets, leaky faucets, garbage disposals)
- Basic electrical (outlet/switch replacement, light fixtures, smoke detectors)
- Appliance troubleshooting
- Smart lock / lockbox installation and maintenance
- Seasonal exterior work (pressure washing, gutter cleaning, minor landscaping)
- Occasional urgent repair requests during guest stays
- Photo documentation of completed work
All jobs fall within California's handyman exemption (under $500 per project).
Requirements:
- Own tools, vehicle, and supplies
- General liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)
- Proven experience with residential maintenance or property upkeep
- Ability to work independently — we provide the scope, you determine how to get it done
- Smartphone for communication and photo documentation
- Must pass a background check
- Bonus: experience with short-term rental / vacation rental properties
