I paid $7500.00 a little over fifteen years ago to have this Trane XL-1400 rooftop mounted central heat ( uses natural gas ) and air conditioning unit put on my roof. I bought my house in the year 2000 with a new roof, well 25 years later my roof is falling apart so I am having a new roof put on soon so I thought it would be a good time to also replace my A/C unit too, because I plan on selling my house in 1.5 years and it would be a good selling point, and a/c units are going to double in price from $15,000.00 to $30,000.00 next year because the state says they have to use different Freon. It was working fine when I had it removed on 10-3-25, plus it comes with the metal base called a curb, which is sitting on top of the unit in the pictures. In fifteen years I’ve only had two problems #1 five to six years ago the mother board died and it was replaced with a new one, and #2 the condensation drain line clogged and it was cleaned out two years ago. It measures 36” X 64” and is a 2.5 ton, 14 seer all in one unit, so instead of adding it to the land fill i decided sell it to someone who could use it on their house, shop, or barn.
On 10-23 I reduced it $200.00 and 10-24 I lowered it another $100.00 from $1200.00 to $900.0, and on 11-11 I reduced it to $800.00, and on 11-18 I lowered it to $750.00, save 90%.
