● Able to pass a fillet weld test.
● Familiar with the machine controls involved in completing a task on a particular machine.
● Able to use minor machines (e.g., overhead crane, fork lift, hydraulic press).
● Ability to identify an acceptable weld.
● Produces consistent weld quality by hand.
● Able to correctly load weld fixtures and complete all hand welds.
● Follows defined objectives set by the Foreman with minimal supervision.
● Able to setup fixtures and welders.
● Able to recognize a suspected problem within a particular process and alert the supervisor.
● Possesses a basic knowledge of fabrication drawings.
● Able to identify various materials in order to employ the correct welding process.
● Able to setup fixtures and welders without supervision.
● Possesses an intermediate knowledge of fabrication drawings; Able to read and interpret basic
weld symbols and measurements.
● Ability to change fractions to decimals and decimals to fraction with the use of a chart.
Requirements Include the Following:
- Must have recent, relevant experience within the past year
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift 50+ pounds consistently
- Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Must be at least 18 years old and able to show proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
