Actively participate in a team environment to meet the department and plant goals and objectives.
Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures; and state, federal and local laws.
Assist in troubleshooting and performing necessary repairs on various types of ammonia equipment, electrical distribution, compressed air, steam, refrigeration and waste water treatment system.
Perform routine preventative maintenance on Ammonia system, Boilers, and facilities according to PM schedules.
Perform general maintenance including welding, basic electric and plumbing, and documents all repairs or maintenance work done on any equipment utilizing MP2 system.
Participate in equipment installations and relocations.
Provide timely notification to management of any discrepancy that has a direct or indirect impact on product quality.
Follow safe working practices while performing assigned duties.
Maintain technical literature regarding plant equipment.
Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
Dismantles devises to gain access to and remove defective parts.
Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and clean parts.
Start devices to test their performance.
Set up and operates lathe, mill, drill press, grinder, welders, and other metal working tools to make and repair parts.
Diagnose, repair, and replace electrical devices.
Generate and fills out all necessary forms and paper work.
Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Safe Quality Food (SQF) 2000 system as defined in the SQF 2000 Code
