We are hiring a Journey-level Fabricator/Welder and Trailer Mechanic, who will be responsible for performing duties in the shop related to all elements of steel fabrication and welding as well as maintaining a commercial fleet of truck and trailers. As a trailer mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and making repairs to BND trailers and various assets. You will support your shop foreman and other members of the shop staff through performing a variety of technical tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
*WALKING FLOOR EXPERIENCE PREFFERED*
• 90-day inspections of trucks and trailers
• Completing all repairs resulting from 90-day inspections
• Routine servicing of trucks and trailers
• Road calls as needed and TBD by Shop Foreman case by case
• Diagnosing and repairing air leaks and light problems
• Replacing brakes as needed and adjusting wheel bearings
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical issues
• Diagnosing and repairing hyd. System on walking floor and center drop_ possum belly trailers.
• Performing and assisting with basic welding and fabrication projects
• May transport and pick up parts and equipment as needed
Expected hours- 40-50 Weekly
Compensation- $34.00-37.00 *Paid Biweekly
