We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Route Driver to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely along designated routes, ensuring timely service to customers. Responsibilities
Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver products along assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Manage daily delivery schedules, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs across multiple locations.
Communicate professionally with customers, providing excellent service and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Handle heavy lifting when loading or unloading goods, ensuring proper merchandising and secure transportation.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including receipts, invoices, and route logs.
Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing customer satisfaction and sales opportunities.
Organize daily routes efficiently using route planning tools to optimize time and fuel consumption.
Demonstrate strong organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries while maintaining accuracy.
Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
Experience
Prior experience in commercial driving or route delivery roles preferred; military logistics experience is a plus.
Knowledge of pricing strategies and basic math skills for handling transactions and measurements.
Proven ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members across diverse settings.
Familiarity with merchandising techniques and sales principles beneficial for upselling opportunities.
Strong organizational skills with the capacity to plan routes effectively and manage time efficiently.
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly during loading and unloading processes.
Valid driver’s license (Class C) required; clean driving record essential (MVR Report Required).
